What is it?

KansaiHack will be a one-day hackathon on Saturday, April 20 in Kyoto. During the event, you'll partner up in teams of 2 to 4 members to create something together. It can be an app, a website, hardware, or anything else really!

All that matters is that you work on an interesting project, meet new people, and of course have fun!

Finding an idea

From now until April 20, you can post your project ideas to our discussion board to help you find teammates.

HNKansai members have already suggested ideas such as:

• A directory of all Hacker News meetups around the world
• A Google Hangout extension to limit the talking time of participants
• An open-source website template for event homepages

Forming Teams

Each team can have between 2 and 4 people. You'll have 45 minutes on Saturday morning to find people to partner up with, but you can also assemble your team before the event to save time.

All we ask is that you don't actually start working on your project until Saturday morning, to be fair to everybody.
